Hah. I wish it WORKED as an anti-theft device. Back before x-mas I found two boxes for a couple of Wizard of Oz barbies where some jerkface stole the dolls out of the box and stashed the box behind other boxes. I was not happy. The staple-thingums r…

As a rabid deboxer, I absolutely despise the plastic hang-tag staple thingums used to hold dolls' heads in place now. I'm sure it's some kind of anti-theft device, but really, with all the plastic ties, bands and such holding a boxed doll in bondage…

Honestly, if a child gets hurt trying to take the doll out, most likely Mattel's lawyers will say 'Well, an ADULT should take the toy out of the packaging for the child." Which, on one hand I think is a cop out but on another I kind of agree. *shrug…

What do you all think of the new black box Barbies.  I saw them for the first time today in Walmart. Right under 20.00  They were all pretty.  I wanted the one with short blond hair and the tea length dress.  Each doll has different hair, all have b…

BROWN Vintage "Closed" Shoes ?

Hello all !

I have recently purchased a vintage "Gold N' Glamour" outfit which is missing the BROWN "CLOSED IN" shoes (only has brown open toe shoes). Would anyone possibly have a pair of these that they are willing to sell or else know of somewhere I could find them? Have already been searching on E-bay, but with no luck.

Kind regards, Dianne

I started my collection in the summer of 2008. I don't have that many vintage barbies like some of you guys do. I'm here to meet babrie lovers

Emby Quinn

Greetings!

Hello, everyone. I have been a huge Barbie fan ever since I received a Golden Blonde Color Magic Barbie for Christmas when I was six. (I'm dating myself. XD) She was the only vintage Barbie I ever owned (not that she was vintage then, but you get the idea). I ended up getting a lot of the mod dolls--Barbie (blonde Marlo flip), Stacey (red mini-flip), Francie (brunette bob), and my favorites, Casey (blonde) and P.J. I even had a blonde Living Barbie.

Sadly, all these childhood dolls of mine are… Continue

As I only have just come back to work I have now managed to "post" a few of my latest pics including some of my long awaited blonde #2 after having her ponytail reset into a hard curl ! She only arrived late last week and I was SO EXCITED to receive her and I think she is beautiful. I have also just purchased a vintage "Enchanted Evening" outfit for her which hopefully will a… Continue
